Craterellus cornucopioides, known as black trumpet, is a thin-fleshed woodland mushroom with a dark, fluted form and a deeply aromatic culinary character. It appears from the forest floor in close association with living trees.
CC-001 was isolated from a wild fruiting in Upshur County, West Virginia. This living Appalachian culture preserves a traceable local line from a species seldom represented in culture libraries.
Available as a 10cc liquid culture or 90x15mm agar plate. Every Redbird line traces to the county where it was collected.
